“How do we live together, beautifully?” by Junichi Satoh, Architecture

Please join us for the lecture “How do we live together, beautifully?” by 2021-22 Visiting Faculty Fellow in Design for Spatial Justice, Professor Junichi Satoh.

With a focus on betterment of the human ecology, Prof. Satoh designs and creates buildings, dwellings, and places and purposes for human gatherings. He is an interdisciplinary maker of things, a trained chef, a farmer, and a co-founder of Utility Works, an international design collective that seeks better ways for humans to live together, beautifully.

Prof. Satoh received both a master's degree in architecture and a bachelor’s degree in fine arts / graphic design from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Since then, he has been teaching architecture, landscape architecture, graphic and industrial design, and art and design foundations at RISD, China Academy of Art, and Clemson University among others in the US, Italy, China, and Japan.
