The HOPES Conference is an annual event, held every spring by the Ecological Design Center, a student group at the University of Oregon. Inaugurated in 1994, the conference is an opportunity for students, faculty, community members, and visiting scholars to discuss the relationship between ecology and various design disciplines, and how this connection can produce sustainable solutions to contemporary problems.
In response to COVID19, HOPES will occur online as a digital conference. Events will be hosted as Zoom webinars, with links posted on the HOPES website.
The HOPES theme, ROOTS, is now more relevant than ever. HOPES calls upon our common past to encourage a shared future that relishes in connection, defies apathy, and has the courage to develop strong networks that transcend time and place. Join us in the new virtual HOPES space to build ROOTS!
