Erb Memorial Union (EMU), Craft Center
1395 University Street, Eugene, OR 97403
Art and action merge with the Holden Center for Leadership and Community Engagement. Art has a critical role to play in our communities - how we communicate, how we demonstrate what we care about, how we create change. Come together with other makers to create the first ever Civic Action Zine that combines the creation of a crowd-sourced zine with robust resources about what it takes to engage critically to create positive change in our communities with topics from interpersonal conflict resolution to guidelines for organizing on campus.
This workshop at the Craft Center will be divided into two parts: about 1 hour diving into the content included in the zine to provide makers with context, inspiration and an opportunity to build their own skills. The remaining 2 hours will be creating the zine with markers, collage materials, stamps, etc.
Materials included in workshop fee. No experience necessary. Workshop registration is for all dates listed. Current students only.
