Sloane Kochman, an masters candidate in the Department of the History of Art and Architecture, has been conducting research on the pedagogical philosophies of Anni Albers. To further explore the role of making specifically related to Albers's teaching, Kochman has enlisted the help of eight artists. Each artist has produced a piece that is a reaction to and/or inspired by assignments Albers gave to her students at Black Mountain College. Through this exercise, these artists are once again the students of Anni Albers.
