Frohnmayer Bridge (Willamette River Natural Area)

On Wednesday July 23rd, The University of Oregon’s Natural Areas program will be having our first second work party of the summer!

We are looking for volunteers to assist us in the restoration of wildlife habitat along the Ruth Bascom bike path in the Willamette River Natural Area, near downtown Eugene. We welcome complete beginners and experienced gardeners alike to help increase the ecological value of our city’s beautiful riverfront bike path park. Those with a love for gardening, native plants, and local ecology will find themselves in good company.

We will be meeting at the south end of the Frohnmayer bridge at 9am and we will walk over to the restoration area together. Snacks and a water station will be provided as well as all necessary tools and materials.  All you need is close-toed shoes, a water bottle, weather appropriate clothing and a positive attitude! We hope you join us, and we look forward to working alongside you and making a positive environmental impact together.
