Join us on April 10 from 3:30-4:30pm in Library 101 at the University of Oregon for a research presentation by Rosa O’Connor Acevedo, Philosophy Ph.D. Candidate.

Rosa will share her findings on “Racial and Gender Discourse on Enslaved and Non-White Women from Puerto Rico”, based on her archival research in Spain and Puerto Rico. She will discuss how enslaved women were represented and written about in colonial documents, and how her research challenges traditional views on marronage. This presentation is a result of her research supported by CLLAS and CSWS. We hope to see you there!
