As an early-stage founder, understanding the startup funding landscape and best pathway to raising capital can be a real challenge. Join us as Coast to Crest Fund managing directors Shane Johnson and Joe Maruschak share their insights into how they think about fundraising and what they look for when supporting a startup.
The Coast to Crest Fund supports early-stage Lane County startups through capital and mentorship. Their portfolio includes companies in the biotech, consumer product, enterprise and food and beverage space. The Coast to Crest Fund’s portfolio includes University of Oregon spinouts and alumni companies.
Stick around after the conversation, as we hold our annual UO Elevator Pitch Competition, during which six to eight UO students will pitch their venture idea for the opportunity to win a $1,000 cash pool. Networking to follow. Free food and beverage will be provided provided you register at this link.
If you are a UO student interested in participating in the UO Elevator Competition, apply online.
Funding Perspectives for Early-Stage Founders is part of UO Startup Week, an annual event that promotes entrepreneurship and innovation across campus and beyond.
