On a beautiful Eugene summer day what's better than riding bikes and getting into the river?! On this trip, we will bike from the OP Rental Barn to the West D Street Boat Ramp (3 miles) where we will switch to inflatable kayaks and paddle to our take out at Alton Baker Boat Ramp. Along the way, we will stop to swim after the Pickin' and Grinnin' rapid and stop at Goose Island to swim the Autzen Footbridge rapid. Before swimming the rapid we will have a discussion on how to safely swim the rapid as well as self rescuing. During our paddle a staff member will shuttle the participants bikes to the Alton Baker take out where participants will then ride back to the barn (2.7 miles).

Level 2:  May be appropriate for beginner:  some previous experience with the activity may be required and/or make the experience more enjoyable and successful; moderate terrain and distance
