DESCRIPTION:Join us for a screening of the film LAND/TRUST (2022) followed
by a discussion with Alexii Signona and Ruth Anne Beutler. LAND/TRUST (202
 2) documents the effort to restore the coastal prairie in the Quiroste Val
ley Cultural Preserve at Año Nuevo State Park\, which encompasses the for
mer site of Mitenne\, a village of the Awaswas-speaking Quiroste people. T
he Amah Mutsun Tribal band currently stewards the land and maintains the m
emory of the Quiroste ancestors. Through re-establishing traditional land
management practices and an intensive plant propagation project\, the work
is revitalizing many native coastal prairie plant populations.\n\n \n\nPr
