A unique experience that reinvigorates the dynamic relationship between dancers and those watching dance. Dance in Dialogue (D.i.D.) is a new salon-style community performance series initiated by choreographers Margo Van Ummersen, Shannon Mockli, and Carolina Caballero to encourage the creation of innovative dance works, as well as conversation between artists and audiences.  D.i.D.'s performances are events in which artists share works-in-progress in a process-oriented environment. The 2014 series includes a variety of emerging and seasoned choreographers, and cross-disciplinary endeavors, incorporating improvisation, experimentation, and movement-based processes from art disciplines outside of dance. The evening will include new work by UO faculty member Shannon Mockli, and by Robin Steim of the renowned, Ashland-based Dancing People Company. More information is available at danceindialogue.com.
