Join special guest Jim Snidero with the Oregon Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Lab Bands II and III for the annual Fall Big Bands Concert! Snidero has performed with Jack McDuff, and as a member of Toshiko Akiyoshi's Jazz Orchestra and Frank Sinatra's band. In 1984 he formed his own quintet. Snidero has been awarded two National Endowment for the Arts grants, including one recording with Dave Holland and Jack Dejohnette. Snidero is an adjunct instructor at the Jazz and Contemporary Music Program at the New School University and was a visiting professor at Indiana University and Princeton University. Snidero has 17 recordings as a leader on EMI, Milestone, and Savant, and his latest, “Stream of Consciousness,” features Paul Bollenback, Linda Oh, and Rudy Royston. Snidero performs frequently in the US, Europe, Japan and toured Australia in 2002.
