This course is not an introduction to design thinking. It assumes participants already have a working, practice-based competency with human-centered design and its use in a business context.
This course will be delivered over two consecutive Friday afternoons for a total of 6 hours—dates and times below. Attendance is required in both sessions.

Course Description
This hands-on short course will teach participants who already have an application-based, working knowledge of design thinking (AKA human-centered design) how to plan, prepare for, and lead design thinking work sessions that people will love. It will explore the significant differences between practicing design thinking and leading and facilitating teams through productive, enjoyable, engaging work sessions that leverage design thinking methodologies.
About the Instructor
Patrick E. Sharbaugh is a senior program director at the LUMA Institute, a professional training and coaching organization. He guides global enterprise clients in integrating LUMA's framework of human-centered design methods across their workforce, helping them leverage design thinking to become more agile and collaborative, creative, and customer-centered. He designs and facilitates workshops, leads workforce transformation, and helps optimize product and service strategies for companies such as Accenture Global, Netflix, Starbucks, Microsoft, Standard Chartered, Prudential, and many others.
