Experiencing certain symptoms of trauma can cause an altered sense of reality. Derealization and dissociation change perception into a distancing and alienating function. The world becomes unrecognizable yet eerily familiar. To translate these experiences, I’ve focused on an exploration of exoplanetary forms through symbolic nature-based phenomena.
