EUGENE, OR.— Our second annual EUZINE Comics & Zine Fest will be held Saturday November 18th in the heart of downtown Eugene. Once again we will host over fifty tabling artists from Seattle, Olympia, Portland, and Eugene. EUZINE Fest showcases comic artists, zine-makers, illustrators, and storytellers. Additional fun includes a live-streaming photo booth, button and zine making, and an art exhibition with the theme this year 'fantastical gardens'.
Zines (pronounced ZEEN or ZEENs) are often self-published material. Though anyone can make a Zine, Zine Fests attract many graphic artists, photographers, writers, and visual storytellers who have cultivated their art. These days you see a full spectrum of high and lowbrow printing methods, mediums, and formats utilized in the presentation of Zines. Zines can be instructional, personal, a comic or story, a compilation of common or uncommon things. The endless possibilities are what make Zines fun, desirable, rare, and collectable.
EUZINE Comics & Zine Fest is free to attend and welcomes individuals of all ages and identities. Mark your calendar for November 18th, 11AM-6PM. We will be located at the corner of Broadway and Willamette Street in Downtown Eugene at the Broadway Commerce Center Annex.
