Terminal Bar at Union Station 1701 Wynkoop St., Denver, CO 80211
Join the Denver Ducks for a special event at Terminal Bar in Union Station with guest Ellen Schmidt-Devlin, director of the Sports Product Management Program at the University of Oregon! A former track athlete who was mentored by Bill Bowerman, BS '34, MEd '53, Ellen spent almost 30 years working for Nike in numerous positions—and in numerous countries—before cofounding the UO Sports Product Management Program to help prepare students for careers in the sports product industry.
After being personally mentored by Bill Bowerman and spending 27 years at Nike working in Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Korea, and the United States, Schmidt-Devlin realized there wasn’t a program out there that could prepare students to work in the sports product industry. Upon receiving her MBA at the UO’s Lundquist College of Business, she worked alongside Roger Best to cofound the UO Sports Product Management Program. In addition to being the program’s director, Schmidt-Devlin also teaches the program's Integrative Project–Sports Product Making course.
Enjoy beer, wine, and appetizers; mix and mingle with your fellow Ducks; and hear the story of how this Nike veteran created an exciting master’s program at the UO. Register soon, as space is limited to just 18 guests!
