Friday, November 3, 2023 9am to 12pm
About this Event
955 E 13th Ave, Eugene, OR
https://business.uoregon.edu/hands-on-learning/professional-edgeDuring this Professional Edge workshop, learn how to gain greater self-awareness, grow as a leader, and position yourself for success in the next steps of your career.
First, you'll learn how to lead from any level within an organization, why heart leadership matters now more than ever, and how to maximize the influence you have on others. You will go through exercises to better understand who you want to be as a leader and plan for how to get there. We will also spend time discussing what a great work environment looks like and how to identify organizations that truly value their employees. This seminar will provide valuable tools that can be applied to a wide range of professional situations —from those looking to take on the entrepreneurial journey of starting their own business, to those who want to join a large company.
Next, you'll explore what it means to foster a culture of innovation. Companies with a culture of innovation consistently outpace the competition and are recognized as places where employee engagement is high and people work with passion every day. Knowing how you can contribute to the innovation process within an organization allows you to utilize your strengths, brings more fulfillment to the work you do, and ultimately makes you a more valuable team member.
Through the Innovation Quotient Edge (IQE) assessment, we will discuss the nine power triggers for innovation, misconceptions around innovation, and how innovation can come from anywhere. The IQE has been utilized by thousands of organizations from startups to Fortune 500 companies. As part of this session, you will have the opportunity to take this assessment to learn more about your dominant innovation power triggers.
Important: Students who register by October 27 will receive a complimentary access code to complete their Innovation Quotient Edge assessment!

About the Instructor
Anthony Lambatos is passionate about helping businesses create a culture that allows their businesses to thrive. He specializes in heart leadership and management of teams with a focus on operational structure and employee engagement.
Lambatos grew up in the catering business, working for his father and the founder of Footers Catering in Denver, Colorado. Lambatos and his wife purchased the business in 2010 and have successfully made the transition to a second-generation family business. With a focus on creating a great place to work, revenue has quadrupled since the purchase of the business. They recently moved Footers Catering into a new facility that will also house their newest venture, a 20,000 square foot event center called Social Capitol. In 2019, the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce named Footers Catering their "Small Business of the Year" and they have been recognized as one of the best places to work in Denver by the Denver Post, the Denver Business Journal, and Colorado Biz Magazine. The Lambatoses also own sister company called MIBE—"Make It Better Everyday"—which focuses on education around heart leadership and intentional culture building.
Lambatos graduated from the University of Oregon with a BS in business and economics. He is a 40 under 40 award recipient from the Denver Business Journal and was named one of Denver's top 25 most influential young professionals by Colorado Biz Magazine.
