Creating an Individual Development Plan

Monday, April 29 at 2:00pm to 3:30pm

Lokey Education Building, 176
1571 Alder Street, Eugene, OR 97403

Individual Development Plans (IDP) are generally thought of as career development roadmaps that can help individuals identify and communicate their research and career goals to PIs and other mentors.

During this workshop you will learn about the process for developing an IDP and begin developing your own plan.  You will (1) assess current and needed skills relative to career aspirations; (2) create professional goals and objectives; and (3) develop a strategy to acquire the skills needed to achieve both short and long term goals.

Presented by Julie Hack, Assistant Department Head and Senior Instructor Chemistry and Biochemistry.
