The Business Honors Program provides opportunities for motivated, high-achieving students to reach their full potential through coursework, co-curricular experiences, and community. Business Honors students take honors sections of our core business courses, develop leadership skills, and network and build community with like-minded peers and alumni.

Info Session Dates

• Virtual (via Zoom): Tuesday, August 27, 6:00-7:00 p.m.
• In-person (Chiles 125): Thursday, September 26, 1:00-2:00 p.m.

There is no advanced registration required to attend an information session. Simply join virtually using the Zoom link above or show up for the on-campus session.

Admission Requirements

Although there is no formal application to join the Business Honors program, students must meet the following requirements to be invited to join:

• Admitted to either the business administration or accounting major
• Minimum GPA of 3.6 in lower division core courses (BA 101, ACTG 211, ACTG 213, EC 201, and EC 202)
• Complete first workshop in Business Honors’ required workshop series

Admissions Process

There is no application for admission to the Business Honors program. Students who completed the pre-business requirements in spring 2024 and met the GPA requirement will be invited to participate in the first Business Honors Program workshop. Students will be admitted to the Business Honors Program upon completion of this two-hour workshop. Students admitted to the Business Honors Program in fall 2024 can enroll in honors courses beginning in winter 2024. Honors students are required to take BA 453H and at least 3 other honors core business courses.
