Join a trio of museum scientists for a three-part conversation about Oregon archaeology—and what it reveals about the distant and not-so-distant past.

On October 21, archaeologist Jaime Kennedy leads a discussion about how paleoethnobotanists interpret Indigenous People's relationships with foods in deep history.

On October 28, archaeologist Andrew Boehm delves into the world of zooarchaeology, exploring what we can learn from animal bones at cultural sites.

On November 4, historical archaeologist Chris Ruiz wraps up the series with a look at how artifacts, written records, and oral histories can inform our understanding of Oregon's more recent history.

Each session will be paired with a brief reading to be completed by the participants ahead of time. We ask that participants commit to attending all three sessions.

Register now at The museum is committed to making the program as accessible as possible and offers a sliding scale registration fee of $20 to $60.
