Outdoor Concert on the Quad

Bring your blankets and folding chairs to enjoy this concert on the lawn, the grand finale event for the first-ever Band Director Academy of the UO School of Music and Dance.

Music performed will be a mix of appealing wind band music and popular classics arranged for band. Repertoire will include "The Star-Spangled Banner” and “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” as well as works by Pierre LaPlante, Frank Ticheli, Malcolm Arnold, Steven Bryant, W.C. Handy, Sam Pilafian. 

The Band Director Academy participants are music educators from around the world convening at the UO to work with world-renowned guest musical artists Patrick Sheridan and Sam Pilafian, as well as UO music faculty members Rodney Dorsey and Robert Ponto.
