About this Event
1225 East 18th Avenue, Eugene, OR 97403
https://outdoorprogram.uoregon.eduJoin Jordyn and Haden on a super awesome fun adventurous and hopefully sunny weekend of camping near the Painted Hills, one of the most beautiful places in Eastern Oregon. You will be camping next to the John Day River and enjoying being away from service and distractions. A great way to decompress after midterms! You'll be hiking around and might drive to hike through the Painted Hills or other landforms nearby. (TBD at the pre-trip meeting)
You will be camping for two nights on a primitive campground site. There are toilets but no running water and you will talk about Leave No Trace principles at the pre-trip meeting and practice that while camping. This is truly an amazing opportunity to disconnect and be present in nature. You won't be far from the town of Mitchell if you do need to refill on food and water.
