DESCRIPTION:Combatants for Peace: A model for coalition building and shared
  engagement\n\nJoin us for a public lecture and campus visit with Rana Salm
 an and Galia Galili\, Palestinian and Israeli leaders from the Nobel Peace 
 Prize–nominated NGO Combatants for Peace. Founded in 2006 by former Israeli
  soldiers and Palestinian militants\, the organization promotes nonviolent 
 dialogue and joint action in pursuit of equality and self-determination for
  all. Rana\, Palestinian Co-CEO\, brings years of experience in peacebuildi
 ng and education from Bethlehem\, while Galia\, an Israeli activist and mot
 her from Jerusalem\, has helped lead grassroots campaigns and bi-national c
 ommunity organizing. Their visit will include a public lecture\, class disc
 ussions\, and meetings with students and faculty\, offering the UO communit
 y a powerful model of active listening\, radical empathy\, and coalition bu
