About this Event
66 E 6th Ave, Eugene, OR 97401
Judge Kasubhai received his BS in business administration from UC Berkeley and his JD from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1996. He represented plaintiffs in civil cases primarily involving torts and work-related injuries and represented clients throughout southern Oregon. In 2003, Governor Kulongoski nominated Judge Kasubhai to serve on the Oregon Workers’ Compensation Board. Governor Kulongoski, in 2007, then appointed him to serve on the Oregon State Circuit Court in Lane County. In 2018 Judge Kasubhai was appointed to the United States District Court for the District of Oregon as a US Magistrate Judge. Judge Kasubhai continues to serve as a settlement judge in federal court. Throughout his career he has been committed to improving our legal profession’s retention of non-traditional students and lawyers in Oregon. When not enjoying a robust conversation about the law, you can pique his enthusiasm if you bring up the topics of power tools, home renovation, and welding.
