The BEseries presents: BE Process with Joey Montoya.

Joey Montoya (Lipan Apache) is an indigenous multimedia artist, clothing designer, and entrepreneur whose work is aimed at increasing the visibility and resiliency of indigenous peoples so they may create and fuel positive social change. Joey started his own brand, Urban Native Era (UNE), during his first year of college; UNE has now been thriving and growing for seven years! Joey will talk about the early stages of entrepreneurship, growing up in San Francisco, navigating through college, insight in starting a business, the success and failures, and lastly, the future of Urban Native Era.

The BEseries is pleased to host Joey Montoya with our partners: Native American Student Union, Native American Studies, Many Nations Longhouse, Sapsik’wala Teacher Education Program, and UO Product Design Department for dinner and a presentation. After the presentation you can chat with Joey. UNE product will be available for sale: hats, shirts, sock, pins, phone rings, and more!
