This event was fun. The staff was very nice and friendly. There was free popcorn, and a nice selection of board games. It was kid-friendly. I brought my 3 year old, and he enjoyed playing the kids' games, although there were plenty of games for adults too. The only problem was that the event was on the stairs, and if you drop a game piece or a card, there is a risk it can slip in the gap between the stairs. I would have preferred to have an area with tables so there would be no risk of the pieces getting lost. This probably woudn't be such a big issue for adults/students without kids though.
Very well organized for a quick session, and I appreciated the shift from large group discussion to small, to take into account how so many people decided to attend! The small group format yielded excellent conversation and strategies for decolonizing practice. Thank you!
