Storytelling in the Sports Product Business

Saturday, May 10 at 8:00am to 5:00pm

White Stag Block, Room 150 70 NW Couch Street, Portland, OR 97209

The Storytelling course is designed to teach participants to integrate the skill and power of story to deliver successful business presentations. Research has shown that when presentations fall short, it is due to 1. Insufficient practice, 2. An under-developed style, 3. Lack of clarity and focus, 4. No memorable attributes, and 5. A message that is more focused on the speaker’s wants than on the audiences’ needs. Throughout this course, we will will take inspiration from story and great storytellers to explore the following:

1. What's your style?

2. Give it structure

3. Make it stick

4. Spotlight the subject

The Storytelling workshop is a highly interactive course using the methodology “tell me, show me, let me”.  Demonstration, direct coaching, feedback and video helps participants develop their strengths, gain confidence, and adopt new tools.

In short, you can expect to finesse the talent you already have while gaining new skills and learning methods that will help you to build presentations in a brand new light.
